We use PostHog to count unique visitors and manage site performance. PostHog may store a small first-party cookie on your device (e.g., ph_...) to recognize if you are a returning visitor. This helps us see retention rates without tracking you across other websites.
We also use Google Analytics to count visits. It sets cookies named _ga and _ga_… to recognize a returning browser, kept for up to 2 years. It never receives your listening history, and addresses of results pages only contain numbers, never song or artist names.
In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Google Analytics only runs if you accept it in the cookie bar. Your choice is saved in your browser, and you can change it here any time.
3. Buy Me a Coffee (only if you open the tip form)
If you open the Buy Me a Coffee tip form, it loads Buy Me a Coffee's own page, which may set its own cookies, including analytics or advertising cookies, under Buy Me a Coffee's privacy policy. These cookies belong to Buy Me a Coffee, not mystats.music, and only load if you choose to open the form.
4. Infrastructure & Security
Our infrastructure providers (Vercel) and security network (Cloudflare) may set essential cookies purely for security purposes, such as bot detection and preventing DDoS attacks. These are strictly necessary for the site to function safely.
5. Your Stats on This Device
After you add your export, we save it in your browser's own storage (not a cookie, and never on our servers) so your stats open straight away next time. It's forgotten automatically after 90 days, or when you tap "Forget my stats" at the bottom of your results.
