When Does Spotify Wrapped 2026 Come Out? Release Date, Cutoff and How to Peek Early

It's the most wonderful time of the year: Wrapped season. The group chats get loud, the screenshots start flying, and everyone finds out who really has the best taste in music.

So when do we get Spotify Wrapped 2026? Here's everything we know.

Spotify Wrapped 2026 release date: expected Wednesday, December 2

Spotify hasn't announced the date yet, but its pattern is very consistent:

• 2025: Wednesday, December 3
• 2024: Wednesday, December 4
• 2023: Wednesday, November 29
• 2022: Wednesday, November 30
• 2021: Wednesday, December 1

Since 2021, Wrapped has landed on the Wednesday after US Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving 2026 is on November 26, which points to Wednesday, December 2, 2026.

It usually rolls out in the morning in the US, and becomes available for everyone over the following hours. You'll get a notification in the Spotify app, and a Wrapped banner on your Home screen.

When does Spotify Wrapped 2026 stop tracking?

This one matters more than the release date. Spotify says Wrapped counts your listening from January 1 until mid-November. Spotify uses the last few weeks to check the data and get everything ready.

So everything you play after mid-November won't make it into Wrapped 2026, and it doesn't carry over to next year's either. Your late-November and December listening falls between two Wrappeds.

Is it October 31? No. That's an old rumor. In recent years the cutoff has been in mid-November, so your November listening still counts.

What counts toward your Spotify Wrapped

Straight from Spotify's own explanation of how Wrapped works:

• A play counts after 30 seconds. Skip before that and it doesn't count.
• Top songs are ranked by number of plays. A two-minute song and a ten-minute song count the same.
• Top artists are ranked by plays too, but the main artist on a track counts more than a featured artist.
• Top albums only count when you play most of an album, and spreading your listening across the whole album helps.
• Offline listening counts, as long as your device goes back online before Wrapped comes out.
• Some non-music sounds like white noise and nature sounds are filtered out.
• Private Session plays and anything you've excluded from your taste profile don't shape your top songs and artists.

Can you see your Spotify Wrapped 2026 early?

Yes. Spotify doesn't show you your year so far, but your Spotify data does.

1. Request your Extended streaming history with our step-by-step guide. It can take up to 30 days, but most people get it within a few days.
